Art Tree project

Art Tree was a part of the Culture in the Village project and the Karkkilan Rautapäivät event where together with the participants a public art work was made. The project consisted of a workshop, where the participants made their own handprints of birch bark. The hands are forming the leaves for the tree.

The workshop was attended by almost 150 people. For the participants an important aspect was to become a part of a public art work placed at Karkkila City Hall. The Art Tree reflects the importance of the community. Doing things together is a force that takes the city forward and makes it unique. Individuals form a community and bring the city to life.
